Introduction to rational experimental planning and multivariate analysis. Learn to overcome OVAT limitations through Quality by Design principles. No prerequisites required (let's start from the basic statistics).

  • From Univariate to Multivariate: Basic statistics and moving beyond the traditional approach OVAT to embrace the relationships between multiple variables simultaneously, both in terms of experimental planning and in the analysis of analytical results.
  • PCA: Data exploration and dimensionality reduction, exploring every single advantage: gain insights into the results and interpretation of each case, including analytical profiles instead of commonly used "descriptors" (e.g., calorimetry, rheometry, time-trend analysis, stress tests, etc.)
  • Process Monitoring and Quality Control: T² Hotelling and Q residuals to prevent false positives and false negatives
  • Full Factorial Design: The foundation of the Design of Experiments approach
  • Fractional Factorial and Plackett-Burman Design: Efficient screening methods
  • Central Composite Design: Study nonlinear relationships between variables and the response
  • Multicriteria Decision Making: Identify the best compromise between contrasting responses for defining the acceptability regions
